RAYMOND ALVIN BEECH January 1, 1921 - August 29, 2002 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved father and grandfather Raymond on Thursday, August 29, 2002 at the Boundary Trails Health Centre after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his loving wife Charlotte in August 1987 and his sister Lenore. Dad will be lovingly remembered by his son Connor, his children, Darcy and Tanya and her fiance Daryl; his daughter Sheryl (Lyne), her husband Ken and their children, Tyler and Stacy; and his daughter Beverley (Moss), her husband Peter and their children, Ryan, Jason and Ashlea; Frank Donaghy and his wife Irene; and his special friend Christine Barron of Manitou. Dad is also survived by his sisters, Veryle (Hicks) and her husband Ed of Swan Lake, Grace (Cruise) and her husband Robert of California, Yvonne (McKenzie) of Regina; sister-in-law Helen Nicholson of Penticton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dad was born at the family farm on January 1, 1921. On October 25, 1944, he married Charlotte Gorrell. Together they raised their family on the farm in Pilot Mound. Farming and family were the mainstays of dads life. Conray Cattle Company was the focal point of the farming operation, breeding purebred Simmental cattle. Dad was an active member of St. Johns Anglican Parish in Pilot Mound. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. H. Vanniekerk and staff at the Manitou Hospital; Dr. A. Chowdhury and Christi at the Cancercare clinic; Dr. Woelk and staff at the Boundary Trails Health Centre; Barbara and Muriel of the Boundary Trails Palliative/Cancer Support team; dads Home Care workers; and the Rocklake Palliative Care volunteers for the compassionate care they gave to dad and to the family. Funeral services will be held at St. Johns Anglican Parish in Pilot Mound on Monday, September 2 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Pilot Mound Cemetery. The viewing will be held at Grahams Funeral Home in Pilot Mound on Sunday, September 1 from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in dads memory to the Boundary Trails Palliative Care Program, Box 2000 Station Main, Winkler, MB R6W 1H8 or the Rocklake Handi-Van, Pilot Mound, MB R0G 1P0.
