IRENE BORYS It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Irene Borys, on Friday, August 30, 2002 at the Riverview Health Centre, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Irene was predeceased by her husband Paul in 1994 as well as her youngest son Jason in November 2001. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Cindy (John) son Brad (Denise) and her grandchildren, Dayna, Dylan, and Tyson and of course "Baba Borys". Moms life was devoted to caring for her children and grandchildren. With the recent loss of her son, Jason, she was stronger and more courageous than she ever realized and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Dr. L. Miskiewicz as well as the "Palliative Home Care team" for their compassion and care they showed Mom, fulfilling her wish to remain at home. Another special thanks goes out to the staff at the Riverview Health Centre, where Mom remained for only 12 short hours. We would also like to thank numerous neighbours and friends for their tremendous support. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Funeral rite will be held on Wednesday, September 4 at 11:00 a.m., also at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A time of fellowship will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9.
