GEORGE LOEWEN Suddenly on August 30, 2002, at his residence, George Loewen aged 63 years of Clarkleigh, MB. George was born October 12, 1938 in Hague, SK. He moved to Clarkleigh, MB in 1945 and lived on the family farm until his death. He married Helen Dyck on May 3, 1970, and together they raised their five children. He worked various jobs as a laborer and mechanic while continuing to work on the family farm with his brother Jake. Since his childhood, George worked as a mechanic later passing on his knowledge to his sons. He enjoyed hunting and trapping, working in the garage and spending time with family, grandchildren and friends. George accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at the age of 12 and was baptized in 1969 on the confession of his faith. He faithfully took his family to church. He is survived by his wife Helen; three daughters, Netha (Don) Hildebrand; grandchildren, Devin, Erin and Tanner, Margaret and Gertrude; sons, Isaac and George; five brothers, four sisters, two sisters-in-law and their families. George is predeceased by his father Henry in 1975, mother Maria in 1979 and seven brothers. Friends and relatives may pay their respects between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, at the Arnason Funeral Home, Lundar, MB. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4 at the Lundar Community Hall with Pastor Curtis Reimer officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the hall. Interment to follow in the Clarkleigh Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny McIntyre, Clifford McIntyre, Rodney Kessler, Ferlin Kessler, Kenny Lowen and Leonard Loewen.
