MIECZYSLAW "MIKE" OBROSLINSKI Unexpectedly, on Thursday, August 29, 2002, Mike Obroslinski, aged 80 years, passed away at his home. Mike will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife Janina; his children, John Obroslinski and Barbra Rudniski; and his granddaughter Andrea as well as many relatives in Poland. Mike was predeceased by his daughter Basia. Born in Poland, Mike came to Canada in 1951 with his family. He was employed by the University of Manitoba until his retirement. Dad was a real handyman and enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his fellow retirees. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. Prayers will be held on Monday, September 2, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 3, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Cantius Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Ave., with Rev. Fr. Henryk Uczniak officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Mikes memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
