Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET MARY PARKER (nee CALDER) Marg ("Scot") passed away August 28, 2002 at the Civic Hospital in Ottawa after a brief illness, aged 90 years. She will now be reunited with her loving husband Jim who passed away in February, 1995. She will be sadly missed by her son Jim and wife Barb, granddaughters Carly and Karen (husband Ian) of Vancouver; and son Ian and wife Jacky of Ottawa, and grandson Josh and granddaughter Jessica of Halifax, and all those who knew her. As Jim served with the R.C.A.F. Jim, Marg and the boys experienced life in many areas of Canada as well as in Germany before retiring in Winnipeg in 1970. For the past year Marg lived in Ottawa, enjoying being close to and spending time with Jacky and Ian. Throughout her life Marg had an abiding love for animals especially dogs and horses. She was a life time member of the German Shepherds Club of Manitoba, and she and Jim shared their lives with a succession adoring dogs. She was also a member of the Queen Ester Rebecca Lodge Number 2. The family would like to thank the Staff at the Redwoods Retirement Residence in Ottawa as well as the Staff of the Ottawa Civic Hospital, especially the staff on Ward 5B, for their care and compassion during the past three weeks. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 5 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society of your choice would be most welcome. Margaret, a delightful lady, loved by all who knew her, always ready with a friendly, warm smile, always concerned for those she loved, will be sorely missed. A passing that cannot be replaced.
