Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL KUZINA September 1, 1916 - August 31, 2002 It is with great sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather. It was only one day before his 86th birthday. Mike leaves to mourn a loving wife of 41 years Dorothy, son Henry, daughter Kirsten Green, and granddaughter Melissa who he loved and adored very much. He also leaves two sisters, Nettie Marko of Teulon, MB, Sadie Widish of Oshawa, ON; mother-in-law Sophie Rentz of Woodridge, MB; sisters-in-law, Lydia Kuzina of Calgary, AB, Audrey Kuzina of Winnipeg, Linda (Allan) Alguire of Woodridge; brothers-in-law, Joe Radomski of Winnipeg, John Brasseur of Burnaby, BC; also ten nieces and ten nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Wasyl and Katherine; two sisters, Ann Barylski, Pearl Radomski; three brothers, Nick, Fred, John; father-in-law Henry Rentz; three brothers-in-law, John Marko, Matt Barylski, Mike Widish; sister-in-law Helen Brasseur. Mike was born at Cooks Creek, MB on September 1, 1916 as a child the family moved to the Vidir, MB area to farm. When he got to the working age he worked in Arborg, MB and various other locations. Then he moved to Winnipeg and got on with the C.P.R. Weston Shops as a carmen where he worked for 29 years until retirement in 1978. While in Winnipeg he met Dorothy and they got married in 1960 and built a home in Stony Mountain in 1961 where he lived until his death. Mike served on various organizations in the community over the many years. He grew a lovely garden until the last few years when his health started to fail. Mike also enjoyed bowling and curling for a number of years. Prayers and viewing will be held on Thursday, September 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Stony Mountain United Church. Interment to follow at the Stony Mountain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
