MARIA CRUZ November 10, 1921 - August 30, 2002 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Cruz, also known to many as "Angge", at the age of 81 years on Friday, August 30, 2002 at the Health Sciences Centre. She was predeceased by husband Agapito; sons, Rene, Alfredo; and daughter Rosita. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Melinda, Zeny (Junior), Sophie, and Lally (Rick) of Winnipeg, Ade (Rody) of California, Perla, and Estella (Ramiro) of Philippines; daughter-in-law Letty of Philippines. Maria will also be missed by numerous grandchildren, Nora, Benneth (Robert), Arlene (Noel), Alex (Anne), Rommel (Marifel), Veronica, Bernie, Rosaly (Orland), Louise, Danville (Jamielyn), Derrich, Nelson, Nerissa, Agnes, Arvy, Nino, Ramiro Jr., Jeffrey, Aaron, Mary Grace, Jasmin, and Paulo; great-grandchildren, Sandra, Jeminet, PJ, RJ, Darren, Kaylin, and Kurt; as well as many more friends and relatives here and in the Philippines. Many thanks to the staff of GH4 of Health Sciences Centre and homecare workers who cared for Maria, and to numerous relatives and friends who visited Maria in the hospital, offered emotional support and prayers. Lamay will be held on Friday and Saturday, September 6 and 7, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, September 10 at 1:00 p.m., St. Edwards Church. Interment to take place in the Philippines. Pallbearers: Alfredo Tuazon Jr., Larry Bautista, Bobbit Marcelino, Noel Cruz, Fernando Cruz, Bayani Marcelino. Honorary pallbearers: Manny Geli, Gusting Manalo. "Maria, you were a wonderful and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
