DONALD LOUIS JOSEPH REY On September 2, 2002, with his devoted wife Audrey and his family by his side, Don passed on with open arms to be embraced by the Lord. With a warm welcome into heaven, Don will rejoin his loving mother Rolande and his stepmother Louise. Don leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Audrey; father Louis; brothers and sisters, Marilyn (Guy) Ouimet, Monique (John) Bockstael, Denis Rey (Margie Dykun), Arthur (Jackie) Rey and Claudette Rey; nine nephews and nieces; his extended Bergeron stepfamily; his godchildren, Natasha Kaminsky, Katrina Stratton and Adam Sierhuis; mother and father-in-law, Dick and Tina Sierhuis; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence (Nancey) Sierhuis, Marion (Gary) Senez, Casey (Lori) Sierhuis, Annette (Ron) Andrews, Yvonne (Rick) Supeene, Ingrid (Joseph) Stratton, Richard (Allyson) Sierhuis, Mark Sierhuis, Trevor (Faye) Sierhuis, Dennis (Lori) Sierhuis, Grace (Patrick) Delaquis and Christina (Rob) Young; as well as 28 nieces and nephews. Don met Audrey, the love of his life on January 27, 1983. They lived a happily married life, enjoying time together at cherished family gatherings, travelling and spending quality time at home with each other. Dons generosity and positive outlook touched our hearts. His courage, strength and humour was an inspiration to all those who loved him. Don spent many years working at Canada Trust and later moved to a new challenge with the Royal Bank of Canada. He enjoyed a successful career in banking, making lifelong friends at work and away from the office. Many thanks to our families and friends for their continuous love and support. We wish to express our gratitude to Fr. Joseph Johnson and to the wonderful doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences Centre. Their expertise and kindness were greatly appreciated. Prayer service will be held at the St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, Corydon Avenue and Stafford Street, on Thursday, September 5 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Joseph Johnson, also at the church, the following day, Friday, September 6 at 1:00 p.m. Private interment will take place in the St. Norbert Parish Cemetery. "To love him and then to part, Is the greatest trial to the human heart. Yet happy memories fond and true, Shall always remind us of you." LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
