CHARLES (CHARLIE) JOHN HAMPTON November 4, 1930 - September 3, 2002 Peacefully, on Tuesday, September 3, 2002, at the Sunnyside Manor in Pine Falls, Charles Hampton, aged 71 years, formerly of Victoria Beach, MB. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Charlene (Gord) and Jayson (Danelle) grandchildren, Melissa, Caitlin, Alina, Madison and Cameron; brothers and sisters, Doreen, Elaine, Betty, Ashley, Faye (Bill), Patsy (Bob), Grant (Karen) and Kim (Kevin) and sister-in-law Christine. He was predeceased by his wife Faye; parents, Charles and Mildred; brothers and sisters, Margaret Linklater, Leslie Hampton and Gordon Rupert; brothers-in-law, Allen and George; and sister-in-law Roberta. Charles was born and raised in Victoria Beach, later moving to British Columbia where he logged and also met his wife Faye (nee Toews). After their children were born they moved back to Victoria Beach to raise them. It was here that Charles enjoyed commercial fishing and time spent with family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Michaels Church, Victoria Beach, with a viewing one-half hour prior to. Interment will follow in the Community Cemetery.
