JOHN FRANKLIN HISCOX Mr. John Franklin Hiscox of Red Deer, AB passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2002 at the age of 44 years. He was born in Flin Flon, MB on May 3, 1958. He is survived by his sons, Lee and Andrew; his daughter, Sarah; and their mother, Jamie, of Red Deer. He is also survived by his sisters, Jill Hiscox and Robin McEachern, and his mother, Beth, all of Winnipeg, MB. John worked for Beaver Lumber Company for some years, managing stores in Lynn Lake, MB, then High Prairie and Falher in AB. He went on to own the Home Hardware Building Centre in High Prairie. John and his family have lived in Red Deer for two years. Johns greatest love and pride were his three children. How lucky they have been to have a father so full of love, patience and understanding. Johns happiest times were spent with his family. He was an outdoors man, who loved to hunt and to fish. John was intensely interested in wildlife conservation and was involved with Ducks Unlimited and the Alberta Fish and Game Association. John was a wonderful man - generous in heart and spirit, devoted to his family and his friends, quick to laugh and full of fun. He lit up our lives. John will be sadly missed by his family and the many friends whose lives he touched. A memorial service for John will be held on Friday, September 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45th St., Red Deer. In place of flowers, the family requests donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 101, 5208 - 53rd Avenue, Red Deer, AB, T4N 5K2 or phone (403) 342-4435.
