NILS "BERT" NILSSON It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Bert Nilsson on Wednesday, September 4, 2002 at his home. Bert, who came from Sweden in 1968 leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 20 years, Gisele; his children, Arlene, Nils (Maxine), Kelly (Shelley) and Michelle; grandchildren, Cameron, Colin, Austin, Mathias, Kyle, Graham and Daniel. Bert is survived by his sister Anette (Lennart) and her children, Morgan (Petra), Roger, Conny (Camilla). He leaves his mother-in-law Caroline Deforel and seven brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as his very dear close friend Bill McCracken. Bert was predeceased by his parents, Curt and Lola Nilsson. Bert loved to spend time with his family, working in his workshop doing intricate woodworking. He loved to camp in his 38 foot converted school bus (the Scorpion) and his was employed by Winnipeg Transit for 27 years. Funeral service celebrating Berts life will be held on Tuesday, September 10 at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 847 St. Marys Rd. Service will terminate at the church.
