ERWIN HEIN Unexpectedly and peacefully at his residence, Erwin Hein, beloved husband of Margaret of Winnipeg, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2002 at the age of 76 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son Lloyd; brothers, Max and Ben and sister Marianne, all of Winnipeg; brother Edmund of Plainfield, ON; sister, Agnes Simard of Montreal and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Paula and his parents. Erwin worked for the Post Office for 25 years, retiring in 1988. He was an avid golfer, bowler and curler. He also was a member of Transcona Legion No. 7. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., with a reception to follow. Private interment has taken place in Transcona Cemetery. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6.
