URSULA PATRICIA STAYNER (nee HAMER) Our mother, Ursula, passed away quietly at her home in Winnipeg with her family by her side on September 5, 2002, after a courageous journey with cancer. Ursula was predeceased by her husband, Phillip Owen in 1978; by her parents, Roy and Sara Kathleen Hamer; and her only brother Alan, in his infancy. Our mother will be dearly missed by her loving children, daughters, Kathleen Rogers (Frank), Victoria Stayner-Albl (Gerhard), Mary Anne Stayner (Chuck Lunn and his daughter Sharlee), Philippa Alexiuk (Mark) and her son Matthew (Delia). Our grandmother was loved and adored by her grandchildren, Camryn, Stephanie, Carla, Natascha, Alexis, Angela, Lindsay, Aaron, Regan, Michelle, and Morgan; and her great-granddaughter Caitlin. We will love and miss you forever. We would like to extend our thanks to the WRHA Palliative Care team. We are especially thankful to our mothers palliative nurse Louise, who helped Mother and our family to make her final journey one of comfort, care and dignity. A funeral mass will be held for Ursula on Tuesday, September 10 at Saint Marguerite de Bourgeoy, Silver Avenue at Whytewold Road, in Winnipeg at 9:30 a.m. Lt. Commander (Rev.)
