DAVID ROSS SMITH David Ross Smith, aged 73, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2002, at the Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by his family. David was born at Riding Mountain, MB to Austin and Grace Smith. He attended school in Glenallen, MB. David was married to Grace Newton on March 2, 1953 at the Westminster United Church in Winnipeg. He retired in 1993 after a long career with the City of Winnipeg Transit. David is remembered by his wife Grace; sons, Arthur (Nancy) of Yuma, AZ, Doug (Joanne) of Surrey, BC; daughters, Debbie Smith of Winnipeg, Kimberly (Reuben) Quanbeck of Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Jason, Hayley, Sean and Scott. He is also remembered by brothers, Wilfred, Walter, Edgar and Gordon; sisters, Beatrice Tibble, Edith Bishop, and Edna (Leonard) Olson. David was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother Donald and brother Fred; sister Beulah Davidson; granddaughter, Rebekkah Grace Quanbeck. Blessed be the memory of David Smith A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 9 at 1:00 p.m. at the Riverside Cemetery in Neepawa, MB. The family would like to express their gratitude to staff of the Grace Hospital and Health Sciences Centre for all their care and support.
