GEORGE ALBERT DAVIES It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of George Davies on Saturday, September 7, 2002. Uncle Geordie was born on January 22, 1913 in Meadowvale, MB. He was predeceased by his wife Doris; his parents, Mary and Charlie Davies; his brothers, Charlie and Jimmy; his sister Mabel; and sisters-in-law, Lede, Phyllis and Fanny. Geordie was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his brothers, Andie (Nellie), Melbourne (Shirley) sister Leona Romanicki; sister-in-law, Kay Davies; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and dear friends. Geordie and Doris farmed in Rosewood for many years, leaving the farm in 1955 and moving to St. Vital and Transcona. He worked at T. Eaton Co. until his retirement. Geordie and Doris spent many happy summers at their cottage at Moth Lake. At his request, cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., with Reverend Jeff Cook officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot in Green Acres. The family wishes to thank Dr. Macek and ICU and palliative staff at Concordia Hospital. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation may be made to the charity of your choice. "Well love you forever." Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
