RONALD BRUCE MERRISON 1948 - 2002 Bruce passed away at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital Sunday, September 1, 2002 after a brief fight with an extremely aggressive cancer. Bruce was born in the Vancouver General Hospital and moved to Prince Rupert at the age of 4 and has resided in Prince Rupert for the past 50 years. Bruce is the much loved only son of Ron and Ruby Merrison and the dearly loved father of his children, Marina, Penny and Zackary. Also left to mourn him is uncle Bob, aunty Iris, aunty Flo and numerous cousins in Smithers, Vancouver and Winnipeg. Predeceased by grandparents, Harry and Ethel Owczar and Robert and Elizabeth Merrison; aunties, Elsie Gair, Edna Stidston, Helen Hoski, Bernice Robinson; uncles, George Merrison and Harry (Sonny) Owczar. Cremation has taken place. To celebrate Bruces life, friends are invited to the Highliner Hotel, Prince Rupert, at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7. Donations, if desired, to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
