JOAN ELIZABETH BITTNER (HUMESTON) Peacefully on September 14, 2002, Joan Bittner passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Biffen (Gord McLeod) of Winnipeg and Karen Biffen (Andre Chandler) of Vancouver, BC; her sister Faye Johnson (Roy) and her brother Keith Humeston of Carberry, MB. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Joan loved life to the fullest and enjoyed being with friends and family. She loved to laugh, play cards and watch sports (especially Bomber Games). She was always on the go, being dedicated to her numerous jobs and activities. The family would like to thank Lions Place and Block Home Care for all the care they provided to Joan. They would also like to thank the St. Boniface Hospital staff on 5A South and 5 East for all their care in making her last four months comfortable. Joan will be sadly missed by her many friends and family. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 18 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway.
