Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNETTIE KINGHORN WOOD Aunt Nett passed away peacefully at Charleswood Care Centre on Saturday, September 7, 2002. Born in Reston, Scotland in 1911, Nett came to Canada in April 1953 to be with her sister Peggie and her family. She is known as Aunt Nett to the many children and young people, related or not, that she has nurtured over the years. She was a nanny in Scotland, helped the Canadian Red Cross with children relocating to Canada and worked for many years with the Childrens Home of Winnipeg. After retiring, she babysat many great nieces and nephews as well as many other children. She was predeceased by three brothers, John, Bill and Bob. Nett is remembered by her two sisters, Peggie in Elm Creek, MB and Mary in Coldstream, Scotland. She will be fondly remembered by 15 nieces and nephews, both here and in Scotland, their spouses and children. She leaves 35 great nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Her family is grateful to Charleswood Care Centre for their kindness and support.
