MABEL BRANDER (nee McDONALD) On Monday, September 9, 2002, Mabel passed away after a lengthy illness. Mabel was born in 1919 in Ochre River, MB. In 1939, she married Jack Brander and they made their home in Dauphin until 1962, when they moved to Winnipeg. Mabel had an interest in current events and a keen sense of humour. Mabel was predeceased by her husband Jack in 1975; siblings Don, Johnny, Christena, Mac, Archie, Cecil, Chris, Bill, George and Grace. She is survived by daughters, Marilyn (John) Hunter, Heather (Mike) Kenny and Jacquie (Don) McNabb; grandchildren, Lisa, Jonathan, Richard, Michael, Ryan, Kristin, Greg, Tracy, Jodie, Stacey; and five great-grandchildren. Thank you to Katherine Cameron Home Care Case Coordinator and Home Care workers Barb, Tessie and Mary Ann whose exceptional care allowed Mabel to live independently. Thank you to Dr. G. Borrett and the caring staff of the Palliative Care Unit and to the chaplains at Grace Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 14 (today) at 11:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. LEATHERDALE GARDINER 1501 Waverley Street 949-4860
