FRANCIS ALEXANDER MALCOLM With his loving family at his side, Francis passed away on Monday evening, September 9, 2002. We say goodbye with great sadness. His laughter and kindness will be greatly missed. Francis will be loved and cherished forever by his loving wife Eileen; son David (Linda) of Strathmore, AB; daughters, Valerie (Allan Rose) of Vancouver, BC, LeeAnna (Jim Sanders) of Winnipeg, Maxine (Bill Clark) of Winnipeg; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Sarah, Greg, Deanna, Cory, Kyle, David, Cindy; brother Lorne; sister Pearl; numerous nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. Francis was born April 19, 1923 in Scotch Bay, MB. Francis went into the Air Force in 1942 and served during the war in Gander, NF. In 1946 he met the love of his life in Yorkton, SK. They were together for 56 years of wonderful married life, sharing precious family memories. Francis will be remembered for how hard a worker he was, taking pride in everything he did. He worked for the Steep Rock Iron Mines in Atikokan, Curtis Construction of Emo, George Armstrong Construction and the Town of Fort Frances. Francis could fix anything. He enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, dancing and being with family and friends. Thank you to the caring doctors and nurses Ward 5A, St. Boniface Hospital, for your skill, dedication and kindness and to Dr. Nugent and the staff of the Fort Frances Riverview Health Care. Your laughter will ring clear in our memories and your love remain eternal in our hearts. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fort Frances Knox United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Francis memory to the St. Boniface Research Foundation.
