Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVAN LEONARD COURCHENE January 31, 1971 - September 13, 2002 On Friday, September 13, 2002 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Evan Courchene, aged 31 years, beloved husband of Candace Courchene. Besides his loving wife Candace, he leaves to cherish his memory his children, Adrian, Brendan, Breanne, Stevie, Austin and Priscilla. Also surviving is his mother Joyce and his father Leonard; his brother and best friend, Ian and Michelle and their children, Robert, Maegan and Thomas; a sister Renee and Kevin; his brother Ryan and foster brothers, Angus Crow and Clifford Guimond; foster sister Shannon Owen; and many other foster siblings. Also surviving are grandparents, Henry and Mildred Courchene; mother-in-law, Dianne Shannacappo; brothers-in-law, Christopher, Cyril and Joshua Apetagon and sister-in-law Vanessa Shannacappo as well as numerous aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Evan was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Harry and Mabel Courchene. Evan will always be remembered as a caring and loving father who always wanted the best for his children and protected them with his whole heart. He was also a loving husband to his wife. He loved to laugh and enjoyed the company of others. He enjoyed many happy times with his grandfather. Evan was a man of few words, but his actions spoke of kindness and tenderness, He will be deeply missed by those who held him close to their hearts. We all love you very much. Wake services will be held at the home of Neil Guimond, North Shore, Ft. Alexander, MB. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 18 at 2:00 p.m. from the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church, Ft. Alexander, with Fr. Laval Cloutier officiating. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Courchene, Yves Courchene, Harlow Courchene, Victor Fontaine, Hank Seigel, Mark Courchene, Mike Buboire and Danile Courchene. Pallbearers will be Derek Buboire, Dinelle Courchene, Reinie Courchene, Mike Leveque, Cyril Apetagon and Ivan Lavoie. A trust fund has been established for Evans children at the South Interlake Credit Union, Pine Falls, MB. RUSSELL FUNERAL HOMES LTD & CREMATORIUM of Beausejour, MB in care of arrangements.
