Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEARL GRACE KENNEDY It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Pearl Grace Kennedy on Wednesday, September 11,2002 at Riverview Health Centre after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Jerry Lofto and Brenda and Abe Peters; seven grandchildren, Ron Lofto, Jeff (Sue) Lofto, Debbie (Peter) Ash, Tania (Dave) VanDerSteen, Terri (Shannon) Cruey, Tracy (Steve) Loewen and Robb Peters, nine great-grandchildren; one brother Duane (Jo) Thompson; three sisters, Lillian Chambers, Irene (Roger) Erickson, Lenore (Ron) Larges and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband George Kennedy; one sister Elida Smith and a brother-in-law Charlie Chambers. Mom was born on April 27, 1923 in the Elm Creek district. Growing up in the country, she learned to enjoy gardening and appreciate the quiet outdoor life. She especially enjoyed the winters she spent in Mesa, AZ and the summers at Star Lake. Family has always been very important to Mom and she was always there to lend a willing hand. We shall cherish her memory. Memorial service will be held Monday, September 16 at 10:00 a.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. Interment to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Many thanks to her special friends, Helen Pappel and Eileen Johnson, for all their love and support. Also thank you to the doctors and nurses of 3E at Riverview Health Centre for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
