HERBERT R. WEIGEL 1951 - 2002 After a courageous battle with various medical conditions during his short life, Herb is finally at peace. Herb is survived by his wife, Doris and their sons, Erick and Philip. He was predeceased by his mother and father. Herb enjoyed life to its fullest. His favourite pastimes were riding his Gold Wing motorcycle and fishing. Special thanks are extended to the young man who gave "the gift of life" to Herb who received a heart transplant on March 17, 1999 at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute; Drs. Masters, S. Smith, A. Morris, A. Cooke; as well as family, friends and many others who helped us in any way they could. A graveside service will be held at Herbs final resting place in the Glenboro Cemetery in Glenboro, MB, on Saturday, September 14, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Herbs memory to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, 40 Ruskin St., Ottawa, ON K1Y 4W7; or to CancerCare Manitoba, ON109 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9; or to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.
