PATRICIA (PAT) ANNE RUSSELL (nee SHELEST-MacMILLAN) Beloved wife of Albert of Sherwood Park passed away peacefully on September 11, 2002, with her family at her side. Besides her devoted and caring husband Albert, Pat will also be lovingly remembered by her daughter Karen (Blair) Young and grandchildren, Brady, Tyler, Dustin and Vanessa. Her son Bruce (Michaela) MacMillan and grandchildren, Matthew, Justin and Nicole. Pat will be fondly remembered by her brothers the Shelests, Larry (Linda, her best friend and sister-in-law) and godson Derek, Robert (Joyce), Ken (Shirley), Bruce (Kelly), all the nieces and nephews all in Winnipeg; brothers-in-law, Alex (Geri) and Chuck (Norma) Russell and Judy Russell; all the nieces and nephews, many relatives and friends will also miss her especially her wee little Miss Daisy Mae and special friend Dan MacMillan and his family. Pat was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Anne (Mahinka) Shelest; grandparents, Stephan and Mary Mahinka, William and Agnes Shelest; her very precious and young godson Brent Shelest; her in-laws, Hugh and Mary (Malyk) MacMillan and Vera (Latam) Russell. She married her high school sweetheart Dan MacMillan in 1965 and moved to Toronto where their children were born. In 1966 beautiful Karen was born, handsome Bruce followed in 1967. We moved to Sherwood Park in 1973 and in 1974 Pat started to worked for Alberta Agriculture where she met Dr. Joe Rosario and many good friends. She was employed until May 2000 when the cancer overtook her ability to continue to work. Pat was a woman of boundless generosity who loved people, especially her family. She was a loyal friend and truly lived her Catholic faith. The family would like to thank Dr. J. Romanoski, Dr. K. Tonkin and Dr. A. Lees for all their care while Pat battled with her cancer. Thanks to the nurses and staff of Strathcona County Homecare, especially Lisa Nielson for their special care and support, also during her final days, thanks to the staff of St. Josephs Palliative Care Unit. Many thanks to all Pats relatives and friends for all their prayers, cards, visits and compassion. We really appreciate all the support you gave to Pat. Flowers are for gardens for all to enjoy. Please consider a donation to Cross Cancer Institute - Breast Cancer Research in Pats name. Prayer services will be held at Park Place Funeral Home, 51 Broadway Blvd., Sherwood Park on September 13 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 13 Brower Dr., Sherwood Park, with Fr.
