MARIE MARGUERITE ANTOINETTE YOUNG (GARAND) (nee CARRIERE) June 13, 1903 - September 11, 2002 Peacefully, at the Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home in St. Vital, MB, our beloved mother passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2002. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Lucille (Emile), Jeanne, Germain (Anna), Pauline, Alice, Yvonne (Ed), Robert (Melinda), Annette; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Marianna and Alphonsine; daughter-in-law Frances; nieces and nephews. Antoinette was predeceased by our father J. B. Garand (1959) her second husband Harry Young (1982) sons, Leonard (1982), Paul (1995) three sons-in-law; a daughter-in-law; siblings, Josephine, Florentine, Margueritte, Francis and Andre. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 16 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Emile Roman Catholic Church, 556 St. Annes Rd., with Rev. Fr. Rene Peeters presiding. For those who wish, viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to mass. Interment will follow in the St. Vital Cemetery, 236 River Rd., Winnipeg. Our family would like to express our gratitude and thanks to Fr. Peeters for visiting our mother and providing her with spiritual support and encouragement, to the nurses and staff at Meadowood Manor for the loving care they gave her, and to Pastor Hamm for his kind words and prayers.
