GRACE STEWART It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Grace Florence Stewart (nee Crouch), on Wednesday, September 4, 2002. Born April 11, 1908, in Winnipeg, she was predeceased by her loving husband Archie and leaves to mourn her passing a son Wayne (Joan) of Qualicum Beach, BC; grandson Darryl (Gerdi) and great-grandson Aidan of Winnipeg; granddaughter Heather Stewart-Drewry (Brian) and great-granddaughter Hannah Grace of Prince George, BC; also nieces Valerie Unsworth (Barry) of Winnipeg and Miriam Appleby (Ralph) of Nashville, TN. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of Thorvaldson Care Homes for the wonderful care our mother received during her stay with them. Cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will be held at Chapel Lawn. Grace requested the following poem be included in her obitbulkloaduary: When I am gone, release me, let me go, I have so many things to see and do. You mustnt tie yourself to me with tears, Be happy that we had so many years. I wont be far away, for life goes on, So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you cant see me, or touch me, Ill be near, And if you listen with your heart, youll hear, All of my love around you soft and clear. And then when you must come this way alone, Ill greet you with a smile and say, "welcome home." Gone from our sight, but loved, missed and remembered forever. Rest in peace mother and nanny.
