JOSEPH (JOE) REVET Dad passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13 at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale, Man. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Doreen in 1997. He is lovingly remembered by his son Allen and wife Paulette of Winnipeg; grandson Jason and wife Lorraine of Winnipeg; granddaughter Jolene and husband Alan of Tennessee; granddaughter Gina of Vancouver; and five great-grandchildren, Serena, James, Nathan, Laura and Brennan. Joe was born May 6, 1918 in Regina and lived his younger years in Forget and Bellegarde, Sask. His mother died when he was four. He and his father moved to Deerhorn, Man. When he was 15 and began farming. In 1942 Joe joined the Armoured Corps and went overseas to England, France, Italy, Holland and Germany. He returned to Canada and married Doreen (Hoadley) in 1946. He spent his remaining years in the Deerhorn and Lundar area. Joe enjoyed curling, playing cards, and gardening and was past president of the Lundar Legion. He retired in 1978. A celebration of Joes life will be held at the Arnason Funeral Home in Lundar on Wednesday, Sept 18 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. with a short prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments following. Private internment at a later date. A special thanks to the Lundar Personal Care Home and the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital for their special care and kindness to Joe and his family during this time.
