Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLLOYD JOHN SEMPLE Peacefully in his home, with his family at his side, Lloyd Semple passed away on his 78th birthday, on September 13, 2002 in Carman, MB. Lloyd is survived by his beloved wife and friend, Rosella; daughter Janice of Winnipeg; son Barry (Lorrie) of Hamiota; daughter Laurie (Dale McGillivary) of Carman; five grandchildren, Nadine and Jared Semple, Parker, Brady and Brook McGillivary; also one brother Bud Semple of Edmonton and other relatives and friends. Lloyd was predeceased by one son, Bryan in 1971; one grandaughter, Janine Semple in 1983; and two sisters and one brother. Lloyd was born in Douglas, WY and at an early age his family moved to Alberta; as a young man he served in the Second World War. Lloyd met and married Rosella in 1948 and in 1957 the family moved to Winnipeg where Lloyd started Carleton Hatcheries. In 1974, Lloyd, Rosella and family moved to the Carman area. Lloyd spent many years working with young people at Naturas Group Home. He was also very active in 4-H horse clubs for over 25 years and in his later years he developed a love and talent for decorative painting and woodwork. A celebration of his life will take place on Tuesday, September 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Doyles Funeral Chapel Carman with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating. Reception to follow at United Place in the Carman United Church. Private interment will have taken place at Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. Memorial donations may be made to the Carman United Church Building Fund, Carman, MB, R0G 0J0 or Fort Whyte Centre, 1961 McCreary Rd., Winnipeg, MB. R3P 2K9.
