Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARTIN SCHOLZ It is with deep sorrow that we, the family, announce the passing of our dear father and grandfather Martin Scholz at the age of 81 years on Saturday, September 14, 2002 at the Beausejour Hospital. Martin will be lovingly remembered by his son Wayne and wife Louise of Garson, MB; and daughter Janet and husband Len Leclerc of Beausejour, MB. He also leaves to mourn his passing three grandsons, Kyle, Tyler and Brock, whom he cherished very much. Also left to mourn his passing is his brother Norman (Nettie) and his sisters, Margaret Richardson, Rose Masnyk (Ross), May Lafreniere (Joe), Cora Ott (Harold), Isabel Mostowy; and sister-in-law Jean Scholz. Martin was predeceased by his wife Eva; his parents, Martin and Mary; brother Gordon; and sister Helen. Martin was born October 10, 1920 and grew up in Golden Bay, MB. In 1948 he married Eva (nee Yurkiw). Together they settled in Garson. Dad was a skilled carpenter and built many homes in the area. His workmanship was superb right down to the tiniest detail. He enjoyed the farm life that he and his wife and children shared. Dad had established many long term friendships over the years and enjoyed sharing stories and tales over coffee at the kitchen table. He loved to reminisce about days gone by and even at age 81, he remembered events - dates as though they were just yesterday. He loved and took great pride in his children and grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Zieler and nursing staff at the Beausejour Hospital for their compassion, patience and outstanding care during his extended stay. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, September 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 18 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, with Rev. Dale Berg officiating. Interment will follow at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Les Evers, Kyle and Tyler Scholz, Marvin Hurrell, Lawrence Klapprat and Donna Lashek. In lieu of flowers, donations in Martins memory may be made to the Beausejour District Hospital, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0. We will always love and miss you, Dad, but take comfort knowing that now you and Mom will be together for eternity.
