Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICHOLAS LEWADNY With great sorrow the family announces the passing of their beloved father and grandfather on September 15, 2002 after a valiant battle with cancer. Dad was born on July 10, 1919. He was predeceased by his wife Elsie; sister Mildred; and brother Joe. He will be sadly missed by his children, Bev (Rick), Jane, Martin, Donald (Tracey), and Sandy; his five grandchildren, Heather, Kim, Katlyn, Paul and Thea; his brother Peter of Thunder Bay, ON; numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. He joined the Canadian Army in 1939 and served in North America, Italy, France and later took part in the D-Day invasion through to the end of the war, ending in Germany. The family wish to thank the palliative home care staff who helped care for Dad. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 19 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
