Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT HENRY DOWLER On Saturday, September 14, 2002, Bob passed away from heart failure at his home in Vero Beach, Florida. Born November 13, 1926 in Winnipeg, Canada, Bob received his education at Tuxedo School, Ravenscourt and St. Johns College Schools. He served in the Canadian Army. After the Second World War, he was a self-employed manufacturers agent. Bob left Winnipeg in 1955, spent five years in Milwaukee, Wisconsin before moving to Plantation, Florida where he lived for many years before retiring to Vero Beach. Very proud of his Irish Heritage, Bob was an active member of the Emerald Societies in Dade and Broward Counties and worked for many years on the St. Patricks Day Parades. He was also a keen fan of jazz, attending many festivals around the country. Predeceased by his parents, William (Bill) and Laura Dowler, he is survived by his wife Pat; his three daughters, Lindsay Feldman (Mark), Stacey Barnett (Steve), Blair Flanigan; grandchildren, Lisa Feldman, Nicole Feldman Gomez, Kelly-Anne, Rian and Jenna Flanigan, and Brian Barnett, all of Florida. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the American Heart Association. A visitation was held on Tuesday, September 17 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. A service followed at 3:00 p.m. at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home, Vero Beach, with Rev. Craig Bridgers officiating.
