ELIZABETH (BABE) VAN BERKEL FULLERTON On Monday, September 16, 2002, Babe passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers disease. Born in Winnipeg in January of 1928, she was predeceased by her parents, Samual and Marian Gault, brother Russell Gault and devoted husband of 37 years Ted Van Berkel. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Jerry and her five children, Erin Myers (Ray), Mark (Joanne), Scott (Nancy), Marina Wilson (Gerry), and Christie Davies (Brent) grandchildren, Carolyn Fines (Curtis), Jennifer and Scott Myers, Jeffery, Tyler, Brittney, and Rebecca Van Berkel, Ryan, Stuart, and Lauren Van Berkel, Kristine, Katie, Carlee and Matthew Wilson, Leanne and Tegan Davies; great-grandchild Sarah Fines. Babe was an active member of the Fort Garry community with bountiful energy, a beautiful smile and a wonderful circle of friends. A gentle loving parent with a calming nature and an infectious laugh, she devoted her life to raising her children. That same devotion and pride was later carried on with each of her 17 grand-children. Also evident was her fondness towards Jerrys children, Lisa, Marni, John, Donald, Mary Elizabeth and Nancy. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 20 at 1:00 p.m. in Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Rd. Her family would like to express sincere thanks to the Convalescent Home for their gracious on going care, maintaining her dignity until the very end. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimers Society 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2. The tide recedes but leaves behind bright seashells in the sand, The sun goes down but gentle warmth still lingers on the land. The music stops and yet it echoes on in sweet refrains . . . For every joy that passes something beautiful remains. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
