Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD ARMANN JONASSON It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Clifford Jonasson (Hecla) on September 16, 2002. Clifford was predeceased by his parents, Armann and Lilja and leaves surviving a son Jason (Lorelei) Henry; three grandchildren, Josh, Paige and Brook; five sisters, Arlene (Wilbert) Thorarinson, Lillian (Rudy) Eastman, Connie (Bob) Johnson, Phyllis (Dale) Hokanson and Valerie (Charles) Hokanson; as well as several nieces and nephews, and special friend, Hazel. Clifford was born on Hecla Island on December 7, 1945. He spent many happy years growing up on the island before moving to Riverton in 1960. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping and especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Clifford had worked at the Parks Branch at Hecla, the Hecla ferry, the Department of Bridges, Government Air Services, and for the last few years as a custodian at Portage Place in Winnipeg. He also volunteered his time with Winnipeg Harvest. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hecla Lutheran Church with Pastor Trudy Sluth officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Harvest, 1085 Winnipeg Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0S2 or to a charity of your choice.
