Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL PATRICK MADDEN It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Michael "Patrick" Madden at the Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, September 17, 2002, at the age of 74 years. Patrick was a unique man who made friends because of his kind and happy nature. He had an incredible zest for life, and smiles and laughter followed him wherever he went, especially on his many walks. Family was the most important thing to Patrick and he taught his children to value love and to respect others. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Patricia (nee Hardy) sons, Sean, Timothy of Nanaimo, BC, and Terrance; daughters, Kathleen and Janet (Stephen) McDowall of Wellington, New Zealand; grandchildren, Rosie Madden-Carr of Winnipeg, Connor, Lachlan and Euan of Wellington, New Zealand; sisters, Margaret (Charles) Beck and Joan Gasena; brother John Madden of Piha, New Zealand; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Patrick was predeceased by his parents, John and Dorothy Madden; and by his brothers, Gerald Bowe and Ronald Paul. The family wishes to extend special thanks to all the doctors and staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their devoted care and compassion during Patricks stay. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Joseph Johnson at the St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, Stafford Street at Corydon Avenue, on Friday, September 20, at 9:30 a.m. The service will terminate at the church and cremation will follow. "We all love you, Dad and will miss you very much. Now, Michael can finally row his boat ashore." LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220
