ABRAM "ABE" BANMAN

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryABRAM "ABE" BANMAN Mr. Abram "Abe" Banman, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Sarah Banman of Lethbridge, entered heaven at the Calgary Foothills Hospital on Saturday, September 14, 2002 at the age of 78 years. Jesus said "He who believes in me will live, even though he dies." (John 11:25) Abe was born on June 5, 1924 on a farm in Hordean, MB and schooled at Grossweide, MB. He began his career in construction in 1949 at Churchill, MB. For the next 20 years he was in Winnipeg with his family, eventually becoming a construction site superintendent. Work moved them, in 1970, to The Pas, MB for two years. From Winnipeg he was transferred to Taber, AB in 1977 to do the sugar plant silo addition. Two years later the final move was to Lethbridge, AB. Abe was part of building bridges, hospitals, banks, fire halls and many other projects. Abe had accepted Jesus Christ as his personal saviour and his desire was to build his life upon the foundation of Christ. Abe greatly enjoyed the outdoors, boating, hunting, site seeing, wildlife, camping, visiting and involvement in church. He prayed for his family daily. He will be greatly missed by his children, Steven Banman of Winnipeg, Peggy Banman of Winnipeg, Virgil Skye of Picture Butte, AB, Howard (Marilyn) Banman of Melfort, SK, Ben Banman of Edmonton, AB and Cindy (Neil) Nelson of High River, AB; as well as seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by a large extended family and many dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Dr. S., Lethbridge, on Thursday, September 19 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at University Drive Alliance Church, 55 Columbia Blvd. West, Lethbridge, on Friday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Scott Dixon officiating. Interment to follow at Archmount Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Gideons Bible Society, Box 22007, Lethbridge, AB T1K 6X5.
