SARAH NEILSON KEDDIE Peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2002 at MacGregor Care Home, Sarah Neilson Keddie passed away at the age of 72 years. Predeceased by brother Thomas Keddie, Sarah is survived by sister Irvine Kowalski and sister-in-law June Keddie, both of Portage la Prairie, cousins, nieces and nephews, and her friends at the Lions Manor in Winnipeg. Sarah was known for her great sense of humour and quick wit. Her musical talents included singing, playing piano and other instruments that she had opportunity to try including the drums. Sarah loved music, especially war time songs, and she thoroughly enjoyed entertaining through her music and through her ability to mimic people. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Service to celebrate Sarahs life will be held on Thursday, September 19 at 1:30 p.m. at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel, 56 Royal Rd. S., Portage la Prairie, with Rev. Jean Bryden officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Portage la Prairie. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Sarahs memory to CNIB, 1080 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 9Z9. A tree will be planted and cared for in memory of Sarah by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel, 857-4021.
