ROBERT McKENZIE Peacefully, with family by his side, on September 18, 2002, at Riverview Health Centre, Robert passed away at the age of 77 years. He was predeceased by his wife Germaine and his brothers, Archibald and Donald. He is survived by his sister-in-law Margaret McKenzie. Bob was a stoker in the R.C.N.V.R. during the Second World War. Upon discharge in 1946, he was employed with the CNR as a carman apprentice, retiring in 1982 as Assistant Foreman at the Transcona Shops. Bob resided on Winnipeg Avenue for 50+ years spending his summer months at his retreat at Minto, MB. He will be missed by his many friends and neighbours at both locations. Bobs sharp wit and dry humour will be missed by all. Thanks to friends for keeping in contact with Bob through calls and visits. It meant a lot to him. The family thanks the friends and staff at Rosewood Village for their care and support, staff at Riverview Health Centre for their help and understanding and to Dr. Fouad and Dr. Duffy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 21 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. Committal will take place at a later date.
