Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHALLDOR (DORI) ARELIUS VICTOR SIGVALDASON Unexpectedly, at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, September 16, 2002, Dori Sigvaldason, aged 64, deeply loved husband of Shirley, passed away. Dori was born and grew up in Riverton, where he was part of a close family and neighbourhood relationship, just a whistle away from his friends. As a Financial Officer for Manitoba Health Services Commission, Dori made friends throughout the province. His warm and gentle manner was appreciated by those he touched. He enjoyed music and for many years, curling and its comradery was part of his life. Dori was never more content and happy than during time spent at "The Lake" (Hnausa). Observing and hearing the sounds of wildlife and nature highlighted every season for him. At heart, Dori was a godur "country boy." Doris memory will be cherished by his loving wife Shirley; his daughter Lori (Len) Abe; grandchildren, Erin and Eric; brothers, Allan (Deanna), Franklin; sisters, Margret (George) Jackson, Sylvia Miller, Lorraine Sigvaldason and Marilyn (Dalton) Brown and sister-in-law Verna (Peter) Parker. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews who appreciated their quiet times together. He is remembered by many relatives and friends. Dori was predeceased by his parents Alli and Anna; sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Stoney Bjarnason, sister and brother-in law Rae and Maurice Dozois, brothers-in-law Allan Miller and Bill Matwychuk and nephew David Jackson. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 21 at 2:00 p.m. in the Riverton Hnausa Lutheran Church with Reverend Trudy Sluth officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverton Community Cemetery.
