JULIA GALANT July 30, 1917 - September 18, 2002 Peacefully, on September 18, 2002, at the St. Josephs Nursing Residence, Julia Galant, aged 85 years, of Winnipeg, formerly of Lockport and Selkirk, beloved wife of the late Joseph Galant, passed away with her daughters and granddaughters by her side. Julias pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. Mom leaves to mourn her two daughters, Deanna Schoenfeld and Linda McCauley, both of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Angela (Chris), Kelly (Joe), Randy, Rhonda (Ed) and Wendy (Greg) great-grandchildren, Breanna, Nicholas, Allan, Travis, Kayla and Christopher. She was predeceased by her husband Joe in 2000; son Garry; two sisters, Nellie and Ann; and grandson Robert. Julias family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff of St. Josephs for their excellent love and care they provided her. Prayers will said on Sunday, September 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 23 at 10:30 a.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, Selkirk, MB, with Fr. Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating. Interment to follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Rossdale, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Unit 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2. God took your hand and we had to part, He eased your pain but broke our hearts. If you could have spoken before you died, These are the words you would have replied: This life for me has truly passed, I have loved you all, till the very last. Weep not for me, but courage take.
