RONALD ARTHUR JOSEPH WOOD Ronald Arthur Joseph Wood passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 18, 2002, in the comforts of the Palliative Care Unit of the Pasqua Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his loving mother Melba (nee Wasney) Wood. Ron leaves behind his wife Gerri; his sons, David (Melanie) and Jason (Kristin) his father Arthur (Helen) his sisters, Linda (Dave) and Marilyn (Raoul) his brothers, Don (Donna) and Ken; his grandchildren, Paige, Kaeli, Braiden, Brenna; nieces, Valerie, Marnie and Andrea; nephews, Nicholas, Scott and Eric; and many friends and co-workers. Ron was born on December 28, 1942, in St. Boniface, MB. He attended Holy Cross High School and later St. Pauls College at the University of Manitoba. Ron graduated in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. After teaching for a year in Russell, MB, he began a career with the Federal Civil Service (HRDC) which lasted over three decades. He worked as an employment counselor in Selkirk, MB, a supervisor in Saskatoon, and a manager in Melfort before finishing his career as a program consultant in Regina. Ron had a strong commitment to his family, friends and community. Funeral mass will be held at Little Flower Roman Catholic Church, 420 College Ave., Regina, on Saturday, September 21 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Bill Mahoney Celebrant.
