PETER BERG With sadness the family of Peter Berg announces his passing on Wednesday, September 18, 2002, at the age of 85. He leaves to mourn him, his wife Louise; three daughters, Janete Laing, Angie Berg and Kate Roy; three granddaughters, Lisa (Greg), Julie (Ron) and Courtney; five grandsons, Rick, Chris, Devon, Shane and Sean; two great-granddaughters, Erin and Bryce; three sisters, Helen Funk, Katie Berg and Ann Bartel. Peter was predeceased by his son Bernie and his daughter Annelina. Peter was one of eight children, born in Russia and immigrated to Canada in 1948 with his wife and two children and settled in Saskatchewan. With a lot of hard work, Peter got his electrician papers and then moved his wife and five children to Winnipeg where he worked as an electrician for the CNR until his retirement. Everything Peter did was done to the best of his ability and this ethic he passed on to his children along with many wonderful memories. He will be missed. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Cancer Care Manitoba, ON 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. A private family service will be held on Monday, September 23. Everything changed for me the day you left us. I remember the trips grocery shopping for blueberry yogurt and pez candy. You were the best opa a girl could ask for. I will always love you and miss you. Why I got the nickname Kooksabooba, I will never know but I will cherish it 4ever.
