Suddenly on Tuesday, September 17, 2002, Brigitte Dora Petsch passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 55 years. Brigitte is survived by her beloved husband Heinz; daughter Claudia (Richard) son Johnny; grandchildren, Matthew, Justin and Stephan; brother Eberhard (Ursula) niece Monika; nephew Alexander; as well as cousin Siglinde. Mom was born on April 8, 1947 in Ebern, Germany. On April 27, 1974 she moved to Winnipeg, MB with her husband and two children to begin a new life in new surroundings. Brigitte adapted well in a new country, easily making friends of neighbours, and became an active member of the German Society for over 20 years. Brigittes funeral service will be held on Monday, September 23, at 1:00 p.m. in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington St., Winnipeg, MB. If friends so desire, donations in Brigittes memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
