Served in the Canadian Army 1939 to 1968, CD, mentioned in dispatches, Second World War. Beloved husband of Irene I. Vant (nee Hazell). Loving father of Pamela Kenny (Peter) and Malcolm Vant (Ruth). Loving grandfather of Kathryn Vant (Andrew Davidson), Jonathan Vant (Jacqueline Poitras) and Christianne Vant. Brother of William Vant and the late Elsie Rutherford. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St., Ottawa on Monday, September 23 from 9:00 a.m. until service time in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the McGarry Family Reception Centre.
