JOYCE MARILYN OWENS (SALEY, FARMER) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Grandmother, at the Boundary Trails Hospital, September 19, 2002 at the age of 56 years. Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kent and grandson Tyler Reed-Owens of Winnipeg and Karla (Scott) Doerkson of Morden; her brother Don Farmer (Brenda) Bev and niece Heather of Winnipeg; and her sister Joan (Lou) Collot and nieces, Kim and Kyle Zebiere and Leah, Natalie and Ryan Harnarine, all of Winnipeg and special friends, Vivian and Agnes. Joyce was predeceased by her mother, Mary Farmer of Virden, August 27, 1997 and her father, Jack Farmer, September 21, 1991. Joyce was born April 23, 1946 in Virden where she went to school and worked at the Highway Esso. Later, she moved to Portage la Prairie, Dauphin, Winkler and Winnipeg. She worked at the Winkler Credit Union, Winkler Motor Inn and the Manitoba Telephone System in Winkler and in Winnipeg. Joyce retired to Morden where she pursued many interests. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family and the many friends she made along the way. Funeral services will be at the St. Thomas Anglican Church, 131 8th Street in Morden on Tuesday, September 24 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian Minaker officiating. God looked around his gardens And he found an extra space He then looked down upon the earth And saw your sad face He put His arms around you And lifted you to rest Gods garden must be beautiful He only takes the best He knew that you were suffering He knew you were in pain We couldnt wish you back To suffer that again. He knew the roads were getting rough And the hills were hard to climb So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered "Peace be Thine" It broke our hearts to lose you But you didnt go alone For part of us went with you The day God called you home You dont need a car nor money now. Youre Finally Free, Joycey! Fly High!
