Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sonny (Berta) Jeffery, Donna Riding, Brenda (Les) Balan, Peggy (Jim) Jackson; daughter-in-law Shirley Jeffery; and son-in-law Jim Riding. Her 25 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren will all cherish the special times shared with their Granny and Little Granny. She is also survived by sisters, Bud (Dave) Whitehill and Tot Tully. Her large extended "family" will also miss their Granny J. Mom was predeceased by parents, Anne and Frank McCrady; husband Allan Jeffery; sons, Bob, Arnold, Ronnie and Lincoln Jeffery; grandson Jeff Balan; sister Eileen McIntosh; and brother Ed McCrady. Mom spent most of her life in the Woodlands area. Her life focussed on her large family. She knew each of her children, grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren and shared a special bond with each. Mom lived at the Oak Park Lodge and enjoyed her time with the other tenants who became part of her family. She spent many evenings in the lounge socializing, playing cards and participating in the crib tournaments. She had a great love of music, and could often be heard playing the piano at the many musical gatherings. We, her family, wish to extend our most sincere thanks to Dr. Toofani, and the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital. Thank you for treating our Mom with such respect and compassion. We are grateful for your genuine concern for both Mom and her family. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 27 at 11:00 a.m. at the Woodlands Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be de in her name to the Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Childrens Wish Foundation. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall, in care of arrangements.
