MARTHA KLYM (nee STADNYK) 1931 - 2002 Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 70 on September 22, 2002 at the St. Boniface Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Barbara Stadnyk; her sister Sophie; and her brothers, Stanley, Matt, Harry and Steve. Martha leaves to mourn her husband Bill of 46 years; her five children, Douglas (Jeanette), Brenda, Beverley, Daniel (Debbie), Pamela (Dan). Grandchildren, Cory, Nicole, Kristy, Rob, Carol, Billy, Jessie, Brody. Great-grandchild Deidre, along with her pals Brandy and Booper. She also leaves to mourn her three sisters, Jean, Emily, Anne (Rannie) and brother Ernie (Theresa). Martha was born in 1931 and raised in Petlura, MB and later moved to Winnipeg where she raised her five children. Martha was devoted to her family, especially her grandson Cory. Her interests were cooking, gardening, garage sales and playing bingo. The family would like to express their heartfelt thank you and deepest gratitude to the staff on the 6th floor A South at the St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care. Pallbearers will be Douglas and Daniel Klym, Cory Klym, Dan Plouffe, Robert Parke, Kelly Zdrill. Honorary pallbearers, Dennis and Mervyn Presniak. The funeral service will be held Thursday, September 26 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with Pastor Bruce Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to CancerCare Manitoba, 109 - 675 McDermot Ave. Winnipeg, R3E 0V9. Mom, you will be greatly and sadly missed. God took your hand and we hard to part, He eased your pain but broke our hearts. If you could have spoken before you died, These are the words you would have replied: This life for me has truly passed, I have loved you all, till the very last.
