PERCY EBY Peacefully, on Monday, September 23, 2002 Percy passed away at Carman Memorial Hospital at the age of 96. Percy will be lovingly remembered by brother-in-law Harvey Bartley; niece Irene (Don) Phillips; nephew Barry (Beth) Bartley both of Roland, MB; great-nieces, Deanna (Rob) Black, Shari Phillips (Brent Aeichele), Heather and Amy Bartley; and great-nephews, Glen and Greg Barley. Also great-great-niece Taylor Black and great-great-nephews, Michael Phillips and Tyson Black. Percy was predeceased by parents, Isaiah and Elizabeth Eby; sister Bessie Bartley; brothers, Lorne and Gordon Eby. Percy was born in the R.M. of Dufferin and farmed on the home farm at Rosebank, retiring to Carman in the 1970s. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Percy enjoyed curling and toured many bonspiels for many years. Fishing and hunting were also of great interest to him. Two years ago, Percy moved to Parkview Manor where he resided with the help of Homecare. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Carman United Church with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Carman If friends desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
