VINCENZO GALLUZZO It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Vincenzo Galluzzo, September 24, 2002, at the St. Boniface Hospital. Vincenzo was born September 20, 1930, in Aragona, Sicily, Italy. He came over with his young family, his wife Francesca and daughter Giovanna. He settled in Winnipeg and expanded his family with Alfonso and Julia. All those who worked with him at Maple Leaf and CNR knew him as a hard worker and a good provider. A sorrowful time in his life was the passing of Francesca. In time Vincenzo was introduced to a new life with Santina Lao and her family Silvana, Rita and Corrado. Vincenzo and Santina began a new chapter together in 1989. Many celebrations of marriages and grandchildren in both families leave a legacy of a full life. His passion for gardening, vino and cheese making were appreciated and boasted about amongst family and friends. Left to mourn are his children, Giovanna (David Blixt), Alfonso (Donna Macdonald), Julia, his loving wife Santina and her children, Silvana (David Rousseau), Rita (Peter Breen) and Corrado (Carmela Costanzo). Papa thank you for being such a good role model for your grandchildren. We love you Nonno; from Skye, Vince, Joe, Leah, Vince, Ilana, Cella, Taylea, Nicco, Francesca, Corrado and Samual. Vincenzo will also be missed by his two sisters, Giovanna and Laura and brother Nino in Sicily. As well as numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces and friends in Belgium, Italy and Winnipeg. Funeral services will be held at Holy Rosary Parish, 510 River Ave., on Friday, September 27 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. A special thank you to Dr. Daeninck and Tracy Ivanyshyn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON109-675 McDermot Ave. Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
