META ANNA KLAPRAT Meta Klaprat, aged 97 years, beloved wife of the late Julius Klaprat, of Whitemouth, MB, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 24, 2002 at the Whitemouth Health Centre. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, William Klaprat (Ruth) of River Hills, MB and Dorothy Wilson of Winnipeg, MB; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Julius; son Ernie and daughter Margie Knopf; her son-in-law Edward Wilson; her daughter-in-law Adeline Klaprat and three grandchildren. Mom was born on the family farm and lived there for the remainder of her life. She married Julius in 1920 and together they farmed and raised four children. Their home was always open to others. Many church picnics and band practices were held at the farm. Young people were always welcome. Mom loved to quilt and knit for family and friends, especially for her grandchildren, every Christmas there was a pair of socks for each under the tree. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and many, many friends. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, September 26 (tonight) at 7:30 p.m. in the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Ave. E. Beausejour. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 27 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, River Hills, MB with Pastor Don Reimer officiating. Friends may view prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Clarence Steiner, Ernie Tittlemeier, Ken Herzog, David Hoppner, Gordon Klapprat, Ruth and Eddie Malkoske and William Lange. Active Pallbearers will be Russell Klaprat, Randy Klaprat, Steven Klaprat, Tom Knopf, David Knopf and Jack Ewanochko. The family wishes to thank Dr. Nels and staff of the Whitemouth and District Health Centre for the love and care given to our mother and also to the many visitors who dropped by to see her, and a special thank you to Pastor Reimer for his visits.
