Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCONSTANCE LORETTA EASTMAN (nee LEACH) Suddenly, Constance Loretta Eastman aged 63 years passed away at home in Nanton, AB, formerly of Riverton, MB. Connie will be sadly missed by her children, Billy, Corinne (Boyd), Wanda (Rob), Leah, Richard (Chrissy), Rolanda, Romona (Quentin) grandchildren, Cristy (Lance), Carrie (Trevor), Patrick, Greg, Caprice, Alexandera, Roland, Anna; great-granddaughter Addison; sisters, Edna, Cyril, Kathleen, Dorothy (Buddy), Reginald (Debbie) sisters-in-law, Doris, Tony; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Reginald Joseph and Kate Jane Leach; husband Roland; brothers, Alfred, Archie, Anthony, Richard, Rudy; sisters, Evelyna and Joyce; brothers-in-law, Peter and Hallie; and sister-in-law Josephine. Connie was born on November 9, 1938 in Berens River, MB. She was a caring and loving mother. grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to all who knew her. Her home was always open to those in need. She especially loved her grandchildren and was very devoted to them. Connie worked in numerous construction and fishing camps, where she was an excellent cook and had the personality to get along with everyone. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crafts and we must not forget her bingo. She was a perfectionist at everything she did. We will miss all the special things she did for us and especially our conversations when all the family would be together and gather around for a great meal she would prepare. Prayers will be said on Friday, September 27 at 8:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 28 at 2:00 p.m. in the Riverton Hnausa Lutheran Church, with Pastor Trudy Sluth officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Josephs Roman Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Eastman, Billy Wawryk, Greg Eastman, Reggie Bjornson, Kevin Bjornson and Michael Eastman. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Connie to the Riverton Hnausa Lutheran Church or to St. Josephs Cemetery or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6.
